Watches and Wonders consolidated what had previously been two separate Geneva gatherings, and the result is the industry's single defining week. The major houses present their year's releases at Palexpo, the independents show in the city itself, and the auction houses and specialist dealers programme around both. For collectors the value is comparative: the year's significant pieces can be handled within a few days, in the presence of the people who made them, which no amount of subsequent travel replicates. The independent scene has become as important as the main halls. The small workshops showing in hotel suites and private rooms across Geneva now command the most intense collector attention, and finding them requires knowing where to look. Geneva itself absorbs the week easily; the lake, the Jura and the Alps are all within reach for the days around it.

Arrival by air
- GVA — Geneva Adjacent to Palexpo; the business aviation terminal is at capacity throughout the week.
- LSGS — Sion An hour and a half by road into the Valais; used when Geneva parking is exhausted.
Helicopter. Rotations across the lake and into the Alps operate readily, and are worth arranging for principals combining the week with time in the mountains.
